If you’re planning a farm animal or barnyard party here are some decorating ideas. Here are a couple of my favorite ideas for creating your own farmyard party decorations:
- If you can have the party outdoors use hay or straw bales for your chairs, you can also place a board between straw bales for a rustic farm table.
- Save a couple large boxes and make a cardboard barn for the children to play in, or let them decorate the box like a barn before they play in it.
- Hang a couple scarecrows or straw hats around the party area.
- Make cardboard stand ups of your child’s favorite farm animals.
If you use your imagination you can create inexpensive barnyard party decorations yourself, without much cost, by using things you already have around the house, to let you concentrate on the farm animal party supplies.
When all the holiday gatherings are finished, and the presents unwrapped, hopefully you’ll have tons of wonderful Christmas photos, loaded with great memories. For me it’s time to get scrapbooking.
I love scrapbooking in the winter months, when the snow’s flying outside, it’s warm and cozy inside watching an old movie and scrapbook my heart out.
I’ve been looking through scrapbook supplies to find some things to use this winter, while I’m looking I’ve been putting together a list of my favorite Christmas scrapbooking supplies and ideas.
I found some really cute Christmas scrapbook kits, I Believe is my favorite theme. I think I’m also going to incorporate some felt Christmas ribbon in my scrapbook pages.
I’m ready to break out the hot chocolate and old movies and start scrapbooking. It will be a nice break after the bustle of the holidays.

2008 is turning out to be an excellent year for animated movies. We’ve had several blockbuster hits so far, and there are several more due out this fall that promise to be big.
So far we’ve seen Wall-E(tm), Kung Fu Panda(tm), and Horton Hears a Who(tm) all kicking it at the box office.
There are several animated movies still to come in 2008 that promise to be big, including, Star Wars the Clone Wars(tm), Disney’s Bolt ™, Madagascar Escape 2 Africa(tm), and, Tales of Despereaux(tm) at Christmas.
I can’t wait to check them all out, and to see how they fare against the competition. What’s your favorite animated children’s movie of 2008?
Dark Knight premieres in theaters in one week. My son can’t wait to go check it out. I set up a Dark Knight Party planning resource on Squidoo.
I’ve also posted some Dark Knight Party Decorations and Dark Knight cake ideas at She Knows Parties, to help plan a movie premiere or birthday party.
I’m so looking forward to seeing the movie, but I think it will be a little bittersweet. I’m a huge Heath Ledger fan and I look forward to seeing his final performance. I just wish we could look forward to seeing more great performances by such a great actor.
